The astronomical growth in popularity of Voice-over Internet Protocol services is reflective of a shift towards a technologically-driven society, always wanting more.  Its growth as niche communication tool has grown to encompass students, corporations, and even governments, all using VoIP for the same reason: to communicate effectively, no matter the distance.

VoIP has become the preferred manner of communication for an increasingly globalized culture, one where locales formerly restricted by borders and income find themselves among the driving force behind a new generation.
